Introduction to the IYRC
IYRC, the acronym for the International Youth Robot Competition, is organized by the International Youth Robot Association (IYRA). As a globally recognized robotics and AI programming competition IP for youth, it holds registered protections in over 30 countries and regions, including China, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, the United States, the European Union and ASEAN nations, etc.

As of 2024, IYRC encompasses participants from more than 30 countries and regions—including China, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Russia, the United States, Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, Indonesia, Brazil, Australia, and Colombia,etc.—establishing itself as one of the world’s most beloved and internationally influential robotics and AI programming competitions for youth.
IYRC provides a platform for young enthusiasts of robotics, programming, and artificial intelligence to compete, collaborate, and advance together. Simultaneously, it serves as a global hub for professionals in robotics and AI programming to exchange innovations, launch products, conduct business negotiations, and foster cross-border technological and educational cooperation. The competition holds particularly high visibility and robust operational capabilities across Belt and Road countries.
In 2019, the United Nations NGO Committee granted IYRA Observer Status within the UN NGO system, facilitating the organization’s global initiatives in youth technology and cultural exchange.
Within China, IYRC is consistently endorsed as an official "Whitelist" competition by the Ministry of Education. It serves as a key partner for prestigious national technology competitions, including:
National Youth Information Literacy Competition
National Youth Communication Technology Innovation Competition
National Software and IT Talent Competition
China-Russia Industrial Innovation Competition (Youth Category) by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
